Title: Torque wrench question
Post by: SMD on 18 December 2012, 10:38:47
There is a small hole on the side of my torque wrench which is plugged off with a small cap. What's the purpose for this hole? I seem to be missing both caps after lending out my wrenches. Am I worrying about a non issue?

probably .... :)

At a guess its for the insertion of a special tool to adjust the spring tension when the wrench is calibrated

Forgot about this. It sounds silly but I thought it was for oiling  :P   Both wrenches were lent in as new condition (only used a few times) and came back scratched (and probably dropped) with the caps missing hence I was a understandably peed. Never again   :(
