Anyone have an idea on prices and waiting time?

(I have to apply for the code.)

Copy of log Book and another form of ID
Security form will be filled out that you have to counter sign
Form faxed to vauxhall Security.
Security send key back to dealer by return post if you get the order in early it might be the next day.
Key arrives at dealer and they will require the car to program the key to the car.

Dealer can get the security car pass at the same time they order the key

Couple of days should do it..........but Vauxhall security shut for xmas on Friday

For all this expect to pay around £150.00 + VAT

Or you can pick up blanks from ebay, just get the security card from Vauxhall, around twenty quid, find a locksmith that can cut the key and fine someone local to program it.

Cheers
Andy

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated  :)

It'll be a bit difficult getting the Mig to Vauxhall to program the key, can't move it off the drive without the original key  ???

Looks like I'll only be going to Vauxhall for the security card and seeing the local Lock Shop for cutting and programming.

You may be lucky getting a locksmith to programme key - the locksmith I used (he's actually a supplier of key blanks to other locksmiths) can program most manufacturers keys except vauxhall as they won't release the software to third parties.  Suspect you will need somebody with a Tech2 to programme key to car  ;)

I know it's a bit late but you really should have got one cut when you were down to one. If you intend keeping the car, I'd get two.

I don't see how a locksmith would be of help to the OP. Surely he would need a key to copy from?
