hello all hope your all well.
ive just got my codes back for my 2.2 2002 auto gearing prob. cant quit remenber what he said but one code was to do with the wire it coulnt turn on a certain light so it put engine management light on or something.
and the other code was something mil transmission mudule wasnt reading something like that but cant quit remmember the words he said ::) but heres the codes hopefully you guys will know what i mean

p1700 i think this one was the transmission one. ive got a feeling its the gear selector sensor but any help will be much helpful many thanks again. darren

You really should have the Gearbox codes read as this would probably give a better indication for the engine codes being thrown up? However, from my experiences with my own car it sounds like a faulty cam sensor. If renewing the cam sensor it should only be replaced with a GENUINE GM sensor, part no: 90520850 :y

Those would be stored in the engine ECU. Suggest you find somebody who actually knows what they`re doing

Hello mate i did ask if hes doing the gearbox he said yer i see him click the gearbox option but he did seem abit useless. Have you had the same sort of prob then philrich mine drives through all gears nicely apart from 1st and i think its in limp mode but my s button doesnt work or snow button and checked fuses and there all fine many thanks :-\
