Nope, unlike my lovely 4 pot, which you don't even need to jack up really! I only do it a tad to fit drain tray under....

Have to fart around with V6 putting it stands, getting covered in oil. Least you have spin on, stupid paper ones with housing take ages, thanks to anti-roll bar getting in the way, you barley get 10 degree turn on a wrench  >:( >:(

Never had a problem turning the filter housing by hand once it's been slackened off  ???

3.2 one takes a lot before its adjustable via hand, least 3 or 4 full rotations. I've tried, but still have to use wrench a lot.

Then just guess 25Nm as damn wrench can't move enough  ::)

Ok, what ever sub frame, bar, piece of crap thats in the way.  ;D

Ah yes those none essential lumps of pig iron that connect the front wheels to the steering wheel and each other, and inadvertently stop the engine from dragging along the road ::)

It's easier to get at the filter with the front wheel off too.

It is visible and accessible to undo from the top but you'd never get the new filter and housing through the gap would you.  :-\
Much easier from below.  :y

I quite like the later paper filters, less messy. But a real pig if it hasn't been done for a while, or some numpty has been, well, a numpty

Mine has been converted to spin on type and I changed it for the first time a few weeks ago. Location is crap and fiddly to get filter tool on but once slackened off easy to undo without getting oil down sleeve.

I might have over tightened mine slightly because the converter nipple come out with the filter and had stud lock on the threads which needed to be cleaned off. But this damaged the threads somewhat so the filter had to go on 'tight' to ensure a seal  :-\
