Title: Spring Has Sprung.....
Post by: Debs. on 01 May 2008, 19:16:29
It`s officially 'Spring' at Debs. Towers; I`ve just mowed my lawn and the driveway edges for the first time this year.  :D

Airborne distractions included: Buzzard, Red Kite, Barn Owl and Curlew.....and my colony of Bats are just coming out for the evening.  ;)

got any sheep to shear debs ? (as your in wales) :D....edit; that reminds me of an old joke, a welshman walking past a farm sees a farmer trying to hold on to a struggling sheep. "are you shearing that sheep "asks the man,"no,break off and get your own" replies the farmer. :D.........coat again  ;D

Isn't Bala in the mountains?  Where do you keep a lawn?  How do you mow it when it's at 45 degrees to the horizontal? :)

You`re right; my lawn is on quite a slope; the house is at 1500 ft above sea level in the Southern-Snowdonia mountains, so climatic Spring comes much later here than in the 'lowlands'....the grass is only now 'greening'.  :)

Lived up that way for a bit.  Then went to live in Holland for a long time.  Now I consider Suffolk to be mountainous. :)
