Title: Aston Villa
Post by: feeutfo on 24 December 2012, 12:33:29
Theres nothing that pleases me more than seeing the teams of those bitter minded supporters, who take great glee from posting up on here about how funny it is when Man Utd loose, get absolutely battered in an 8-0 defeat by, of all teams, the rent boys. How funny is that  ;D

....what goes around comes around BigBoy.  ;D

Obviously those normal supporters that don't get involved in such childishness have my sympathys.  :'(

Indeed, a truely inspirational display of how 8yr olds should play football. I think each and every player should forfit a months wages for playing so dismally badly. Chelsea weren't playing that great, lets face it.

Usually, its just Villa's glass defence that lets them down, but this was the entire team. In fairness, Chelsea didn't deserve it, but Villa certainly deserved the thrashing. Appalling.

To  the Pov City fan, when you got relegated at Villa Park  (what a great  choice!)

Do you remember this guy on Mach Of The Day? We all thought he meant The Premiership, now we know he meant Non League football!

The last game at Vile park was out of our hands... for the whole season we were poor.... so dont try and big yourself up that the Vile relegated us. ;)

Yes we have dropped further down the leauges, but Im starting to think, that  we may have started to turn that corner  after yrs of greedy people bleeding the club dry .. ... there seems to be a  light at the end of the tunnel and maybe some of the good times are returning to my hometown club and we will be graceing Vile park very soon  8)

But you have to admit, it was great entertainment for us Villa fans, you lot were 2-0 up at half time giving it the really big un towards your most hated rivals (???) and then we got that third goal!!

It was priceless seeing such sad emotion amongst such a lot of gobby visitors that day!

...oh, it's "they" now is it? Disassociation complete by end of the season.

Funny isn't it, it's always "they" lost (by 8 goals) or got relegated, or failed in whatever form. But it's always "we" are going up, won, kicked your arse 8-0 etc etc.

Not so cocky now are "we"? ;)

Maybe Utd will loose a game or two, just to cheer Mr TB up? ;D

Being honest, if "they" (utd) win the league I will be amazed. By far the weakest team I have seen for many a year. But heres hoping. :)

No disassociation here. Else I'd be supporting Man Utd :P. Lifetime Villa supporter here, through the ups (rare) and downs (many ;D).

Man U play half their games at home, where the ref goes by AF time, so little chance of them having a bad season.

But, I still get immense pleasure from seeing the big 3 in red lose :D

...which by default means you've got the 'ump when they win. Typical booers mentality, taking delight in others misfortune.

Christ no wonder booers are so ,miserable. Pmsl. ;D

...and you can bog off, "we" don't want anything to do with you lot. The misery is infectious. Go and support Arsenal or someone. :P

Some clubs are too big to go down. Or think they are. Bit like Southampton a while back. The sooner they go down the better. Then they will have to sort the shambles out, instead of buggering about pretending they are still a premiership team.

Yougest son is a season ticket holder and has been for about 5 years (now 17) I only have a mild interest but do like to see my local team do well.
Son keeps telling that Saints are one of the richest clubs mow. Don't personally see it myself. And cannot be bothered to check it out.

He keeps going on and on about them, and has a couple of fully signed shirts. He is one of those that hangs around to talk to players aswell  ::)

Villa need to change the manager before that happens. Ie now!

Im old enough to remember Man Utd. being relegated in the early 70,s. :)
Iirc Denis Law - who had recently transferred to Man. city- scored the goal which sealed their fate.

1973-74 season.

Not even a full season, thing is i dont lye all the blame at his door step Learner needs to accept that he has made wrong judgements. Since Oneil left he has not appointed the right fellows, if he believes we are a big club then appoint big. If not F@@k off

Being serious for a mo ... lambert deserves everything he gets, for the way he treated Norwich while he was their manager... All right most people could see he was telling porkies but  to say he was staying at Norwich and then hours later holding onto a Vile scarf above his head  is an utter disgrace......... Just a shame it wont happen, after they play Bradford tho  ;)

Good point made Skyblue but tell me who in football dont lie, I blame Learner after Oneil he went from plan A to plan C missing out B we went from paying top wages to the top players ie 60/80k a week to paying kids at 15k. Now i would say that there is to much money payed in the game but you cant go from one extreme to another without consequences, Sadly i fear the worse championship looks ever more likely.  :( :( :(

As a baggies fan who works in Norwich I havent got a lot of time for Lambert or Villa BUT I must say that ,whilst the squad lacks experience, it has got some very good youngsters and; though I dont think we showed up first half against you and the second haf was a truer reflection of each teams abilities, the Vile did play some nice football at times. Will it be enough to keep them up? Doesnt look too promising at the momment.

Well done the Royals for grabbing a point against Chelsea. They are now out of the relegation zone on goal difference, with AV now one from bottom. Title race is now realistically between MU and the noisy council house neighbours.

But look on the bright side, the transfer is not closed yet, so I'm sure AV's new signings will dig them out of the hole. Oh err, there will be no new signings.  :o :o :o

Just thinking back to last season. When you fail to win against  sides around you, thats when you   know when the game is up  and start planning for some new grounds for the new season.

The championship is not a bad leauge to be, as you dont tend to bump into the plastic glory seekers  that swan around in the prem
giving it the large one. ;)

Interesting battle down at the bottom, will AV escape?

If MU average dropping a point a game for the last 12 matches then they don't deserve to win their 20th title. If they carry on at their current average of 2.5pts per game then they will only drop 6 points between now and the end of the season.

Complacency is the worry now. But I have to say, they look very confident and in control. Something that wasn't there last season IMO.
Incredible management from Ferguson. :)

I have no idea what the result could be tomorrow as it depends on what Fulham side decides to turn up at villa park.
If the good sides decides to put in a shift then we might win, but it also dependes on berba putting in an effort as well, my head says a win for villa but my biased head says Fulham to nick it 2-1. Either way i think Villa will stay up as there are worse teams than Villa who deserve to fall through the trap door.
