Assuming this was in an Omega, did you manage to get the built in screen display working or are you using just the one one the new unit ?

Adapters are available for the MID and TID for most better aftermarket units

Those 2005 units fitted to facelifts are shite, replacement headunit sounds sooooo much better. Never bothered to upgrade speakers, but did need a steering wheel adaptor though, as I missed those controls.

Speakers will make a difference, esp as you've lost the chavvy sub :y

Worthwhile, imho

Yeah that had to go, I'm getting old  ::)

Lived with these speakers for 7 years, unless one goes pop, prob keep them as is.

Just using the screen on the head unit, got the steering wheel controls connected and the microphone for the inbuilt parrot is up next to the rear view mirror

One thing I noticed the other day is how much sharper and clearer the Bose setup is in my 80K Elite compared to my 168K Elite, I would change the speakers but I the chances of finding newer or new 2Ohm speakers is pretty much nill.
