Title: Fitting a Nokia CK7-W Bluetooth Kit
Post by: blackviper90210 on 28 December 2012, 18:33:19
Hi all,

My dad wants me to fit the above kit into his 2000 cdx. It has the ccr2006 radio fitted.

Having looked up the wiring instructions for the kit, I need to know which wires are which on the back of the radio.

Nokia Wires:                      Omega Wires:

Red                12v Battery Feed
Blue                                     Ignition Feed
Yellow                                Mute On Radio
Black                                  Vehicle Ground

Pictures/diagram or very very simple guide ( ::)), would be very much appreciated!!

TIA :)

Don't fit the nokia speaker, its shite. Pipe the audio through HU.

If car is prewired, just buy the correct autoleads kit.

That's not a bad idea, never thought of that, although the wires on the Nokia kit have been "customised" at some point.

There are 4 wires at the plug end on the Nokia unit, amongst the taped up wire, another 4 wires have been added?? Then at the end, it's back to 4??

All good fun.   Will look up the auto leads and see which ones I need, cheers for that TB :y

Ignore the reference to SAAB. I used the exact same lead to connect a Nokia CK7-W to my ccr2006 using the connector taped up behind the glove box.

I even posted up a picture somewhere...............

With autoleads, none of the nokia provided wiring is used, bar the wiring to the CK-7W button. The autoleads plugs straight into the 4 pin socket, and the audio jack plug.

However, you do need to ensure the prewiring is present in the car (aerial on the saloon roof is a tell tale).

I would recommend running and using the Nokia mic, rather than any mic Vauxhall may have fitted, due to poor pickup of the Vauxhall ones.

Yep, still using this on mine, with behind glovebox connector and NCDC2013. Pairs with iPhone as good as gold.  :y Mine doesn't mute radio though so I use it in basic mode which means I didn't have to remove the radio.  :)
TB did offer to have a look to try and find out why mute didnt work (traffic master issue maybe) but I never got around to it.

Cheers. I'll catch up with you in the New Year anyway.  :y

Blackviper, I'm using Nokia kit with Nokia speaker and mic and Auto-leads kit. If the pre-wired connector is taped up behind glovebox it's a doddle to fit this way and does the job but is not as posh as connecting to the radio.  :y

Cheers for that Andy!!

Found that plug, isolated the 4 wires I needed and connected them to the Nokia kit. Worked 1st time!!

No need to buy any leads in the end  ;D

Thank you all for your help and advice, much appreciated  :y

Well, if just 4 wires connected, you've bodged it  :'(

What did I say about how utter shite those Nokia speakers are? Now go and do it properly, and wire up the audio to the HU.

I am just undertaking this job and wonder if the pin out for the pre wire plug is known? I want to use the prewiring and trying to save time with multimeter / tracing wires.

Thanks

Far easier and tidier to just buy an Autoleads 06-109B than butcher the wiring.

I've modified the Autoleads looms to fit different car kits in the past (ditched Nokia kits and now use Bury kits so you can change the cradle easily) which is a more sensible option in my opinion.

True, just wanted to get it done today and don't have the cable.

Looks like I may have to wait.

Wouldn't say no if it has the connector on it - I don't suppose a photo is possible?

Many thanks

Thanks to Adey I now have the correct cable and have installed the unit.

I can't get the Omega mic to work however- I am sure it is installed:

Anything to look out for? It works ok with Nokia mic, so I could just install that buy would like to get the OEM setup working ideally.

Many thanks

Steve

Wrong Mic i'm afraid, that one is for a Telematics device. You need to see if a breaker has one on here with on orange label IIRC. Haven't got the part no too hand at the moment i'm afraid.

Tbh, I found it better to run the Nokia mic up behind the headlining and just pop it next to the light unit ;)

As LD says, probably better to use a Nokia mic and mount near light.
