Hi Deb's. What do you do of an evening? Going by my past experience of country life, the nearest pub being light years away, so walking a no no, taxis cost a weeks wages (from base to pub to home to base) & once you've had a drink, drivings outa the window.
So is it just our friendly chit chat that keeps you company or do you some times brave the world ?
Answers on a post card or sealed down envelope please :D
I could PM this but thought it may lighten up a dull eve ::) :-/

Well......the nearest pup is about 5 miles away; it`s not very welcoming, it`s the kind of place where it goes silent when you walk-in. :-?
There is no public transport or even pavements/streetlighting locally either, so going anywhere in the evenings is problematic; so mostly I don`t go out at night.
I don`t really watch (or rather, enjoy) much Tv....but, I do have a rather fast/reliable internet connection so my computer is my lifeline; bringing friends, interest, amusement and education right to me.
When I came to live in Wales, I left many, if not all of my close friends back 'home' in the U.S (where I had lived for 25 years) and TBH I do miss them very much....at least the t`internet means I can keep in touch.
..Do get quite-lonely at times though, but my dear-doggies help of course. :y
I`ve just re-read the above and aren`t I a complete 'sad-o'! ;D ;D ;D ;D
The O.O.F community is just wonderful; a real joy! :y

I know what you mean about the nearest pub not being the best & no street lights etc. I was a right country bumpkin until my early twenties & that's when i moved to my first town. Wo what a change :o :o :o
I felt as though everyone was watching me, but no, they was getting on with thier lives & not watching me. It took me quite a while to adjust.
I'd go back to that life in an instant, i loved being able to walk outa my door & not see anyone for miles 8-) 8-) 8-)
I often reminisce & sometimes long for piece & quiet :'(
One day i will have that again ::)

TBH i'm not that different during the week.
I lodge with someone and whist it suits my budget i find them i little 'full on' and so take to my room and use her internet connection......
It's either that or go down the pub, now the local isn't as bad as Deb's but it is bloody expensive, and i am not the sort of person who lives in the pub

TBH: Couldn`t afford pub drinking even if they were a nicer environ to be in. :-?
Do enjoy the 'odd' glass of red-vino at home....but much more-so in the good company of friends (when they visit) :y
I also really enjoy a chilled Stella when I`ve been working hard and the weather`s warm. ;)

I really like the idea of the quiet idyll of country life, but I dunno about it.
Peace, space, no-one to bug you.
But the temptation of the local curry house and KFC and off licence still calls me back to civilisation.
Looking at your piccies though Debs, I likey very much. Car, House, Dogs.
No wonder you are happy. :y

She will love that, she is away at the caravan for the weekend so will show her on Monday. :)
Should be getting a text soon saying nite nite :o :o :o They go to the club on the site. :) :)
Sure Zippo's daughter will like that photo as well :y :y
