How much should I pay for a genuine Vauxhall battery for a 2003 1.2 Corsa? (36ah)
My local(ish) Vx dealer does not recognise Trade card, but is willing to haggle.

Tradeclub doesn't seem to list a 36Ah, but the rest of the prices are

1.2i 16v - Z12XE 55 AMP 19003129 £55.00 £50.33 £45.27
1.2i 16v - Z12XE 70 AMP 9201873 £119.00 £107.10 £88.19
1.2i 16v - Z12XE 50 AMP 93168488 £46.90 £42.21 £35.12
1.2i 16v - Z12XE 65 AMP 93189923 £72.50 £66.35 £51.43
1.2i 16v - Z12XE 60 AMP 93197905 £55.00 £49.50 £42.95
(All are in retail-trade-tradeclub order)

About 40-45 quid ish.
Fun to change though as you have to remove the scuttle cover.

Thanks, Mr Aaron. Would a 60/65/70 Amp battery fit?. The original Vx one is rated at a paltry 36 AH.

Being in a tight spot, I've just ordered this one. The best price I could get was £50 inc V.A.T. :'(
I hope the above figures don't include V.A.T....as I'm told the retail price is £46.90 + VAT.....£56.28.

Why so many different batteries for the same car ???

As I discovered at 7pm on Boxing Day.
To make it worse they'd managed to break the clamp nut as well.
45 minutes to change a bloody battery!
At least they don't need coding to the car, unlike the latest BMWs.
