My car just failed mot on Emissions they say it may be the cat and they said it has 2 cats i thought it had 1 the car is a 2.2 estate, and dose any one know the cost
It has a service every 5 to 6,000 and give it a run 3rd before i took it in

Can you post up what the emission results were?
Also, is it the original cat?
Further still, any recent head gasket failures?
And yes, it is a twin cat, there is a pre cat and a main cat (although the pre cat does very little in the way of anything useful)

Might be the O2 sensors, my 2.2 failed on emmissions just before I sold it (tested on petrol). The ecu was complaining about the O2 sensors. Any chance on getting the codes read?

CO % 0.36 thay sead it should be 0.20 or below
And i think the service history says manifold and silencer change so i think its the same cat
And no head gasket faiures
