Title: roof rack fitting
Post by: tidla on 05 January 2013, 11:17:05
Got to stick a roof box on my saloon. I have the box and some halfords brand bars( i think) that i bought ages ago to fit on an old 95 audi A4.

Want to buy as little as possible , ideas?

I have some bars you can borrow, but need them back for mid March. Trouble is, I'm 10m south of Jnc 11 on M40!

Are your bars 'complete' or do they have separate 'feet' so you could just change the actual fittings?
I have a set of Thule bars which are standalone, and you can then add the correct vehicle fitment. If you only needed these, and mine would fit, I could explore postage. Unless you're planning to buy some of course.

Tidla

I have Tule bars - I just change the feet every time I get a new car.
Its been on 4 different cars so far.

Feet without locks are about £40 from Halfords - bars are fairly generic I think

Hope this helps

John

Might want to recheck that, you will need the riight Omega Type ones, otherwise the Foot pressure / angle is wrong they need to be fitted where the Slots are cut out under the Omega door frames.
