				Hi guys.
Just wondering if any of yous have changed an auto box for a 2.2 if so is it hard as this will be my first time il be changing an auto ive looked under it and it dont look to bad to do i took it to my auto gear place and they want hundreds to to take apart and repair while i can get a box for around 150 and hopefully fit myself. Any help would be great thanks to all.   :y

My current one seems to slip in 1st gear it gets the bit then revs then it sort of  juders i would rather get this one repaired but garage asking for silly money. :-(

I havnt my self but the garage did say the fluid was fine but i would like to look myself. How do i see the fluid level plz mate

				Also if oil was low would that muck up the other gears or not. This is first time ive had probs with an auto. :-(

				Yes low oil would cause gearing problems, no bubble or dip stick to check, as per guide  :)

				Cool cheers mate. So if i over flow it it will just come back out the hole.i will have ago tomoz bit late to start now. Dont surpose theres any pics of the 13mm plug u undo. Also do i remove the 13mm bolt out so i can poor the bottle in

Bolt on drivers side, easy to spot.

				Top man thank you mate. Hopefully that might solve the prob. The garage said it was fine because it drives through the other fine

				Main problem removing/refitting auto box its weight - its very heavy and ideally a helper + a good strong trolley jack is required.  Remember to remove torque convertor with box - do not leave on engine!!

Yep cool no worries  :y cheers mate ive got 2 helpers on hand and a 10 ton trolly jack ;-). Hopefully topping it up might solve the prob but if not it will be a new box are they hard to do and were abouts is the torque converter located on the box many thanks

				just make sure that you get the torque converter that cam with the transmission you use. Manufacturers have a habit of changing the TC internals without changing the part number.

Don't forget that the level check is with the engine running.
