Title: Oof'in Sunday

Mr webby and Mr martin came over this morning to the mini meet , diagnosis of mine is still lifters sticking  :( so will continue to use the car and hope it goes away .
Mr webby changed his oil and filter and martin cleaned his egr  :y

Nice to meet you steve and thanks to martin for popping over again , take it easy down south picking the new car parts up  ;)

haha, didnt realise you got a pic.... i didnt realise how bald i was from the back ;D ;D ;D

if you end up taking them lifters out and replacing let me know and i'll come and help  :y :y :y :y

trip went well did total of 334 miles including to you steve and returned 45mpg at an average 70mph,so it seemed like it was the lambda conection all along that wasnt pushed in properly,now running very nice  :y
did i mention i got 45 mpg lol

very jealous mate.... although following the oil change and EGR clean mine's running real real sweet  8)

forgot to mention.... i took the wheel off the rear pass. side when i got home as ATS mentioned the pads were low.

got 12mm on the disc (very good according to haynes) and 6.5mm on each pad. is the haynes correct that min. is 6 or can i extend their life a bit longer? :)

if youve got 6mm on each pad you still got loads of life left in them :y

Cheers symes , i think it needs some miles putting on it and see if the noise goes away . Pressure test on exhaust found no leaks .

Trolley needs nothing but electric kev , thank god  ;D

Thanks for the help chaps , sorry i wasnt much help myself  :-[ Star heads were useful though  :y Will keep you informed of the lifters .

I seen somewhere they can be taken out and cleaned , the duff ones will be obvious i guess  :-\ May as well go the whole hog .

i think webby & martin did well with your miggy they both are very helpfull and great friends to have

Both of them really nice people kev and friends , i cant do much physical work other than hand a few spanners and tea over but all the same its nice to keep in touch with them . Always welcome over even if its just for a chat , its the spirit of oof that keeps our cars running .. long may it continue  :y
