Title: £120 to pick up Transponder Chip from Carpet, put back in Key and Start Car!!
Post by: zirk on 06 January 2013, 19:44:34
First Call Breakdown or what ever the cheeky fcekers are called.

Ex drives a 2.2 Mig which I got for her, anyway off she goes for the weekend with sister blah, blah, so she gets back home then on the phone to me, 'Car broke down again' actually it was the second time, first time it had no petrol in it. Turns out whilst away she pulls the key out of Ing. key falls apart and on return Car wont start, yea, you know where this is going, flattens Battery trying to start, then calls out Breakdown Mob.

Mob turns up, charges battery, whilst she explains whats happened, He goes straight to Drivers Side footwell finds Transponder Chip, puts it back in Key, starts Car.

That will be 120 quid extra Madam, turns out they dont cover, Lost Keys, key or Fob faults.

Is that taking the P or what, getting on the phone to HO tomorrow, dont hold your breath.

Question to Ex 'And the reason you didn't phone me was', 'didn't really think about it'

 >:( >:(

Can't decide whether you're more annoyed about the way they treated your Ex, or the Omega you bought her  ;D

Tell her to glue the bugger into the horseshoe, then it can't happen again  ;)

Thanks, probably best if I do that, otherwise it will be 'cant open door, buttons dont work', sorry shouldn't be like that, just really peeved with the Breakdown People and the fact she never phoned first.

Whatever happened to goodwill  :'(

Obviously doesn't exist James, actually Ive calmed down now, could have been worse, at least the guy had the balls to fix the issue on site, on reflection He could have seen then Transponder Chip on the floor and thought, fleck it, I'll tow Her in to mates Garage and have a right proper result.

Ok, fair enough, looked on there Website and they don't cover Key Fob problems, but my Ex spelt it out to Him what happened, they were quiet happy to be called out FOC for a non starter (Flat Battery) but to then charge the full wack for a 30 second Fob fix. Grrrr.  ???
