Well, when I feel better again, this is going to be inevitible. It's thirsty - much more so than a 3.2 Omega Auto. 17mpg locally, 26mpg on a run at best.
Cost of LPG kits is quite low at the moment.. so I may as well do it...
This is going to be a challenging/exciting project for me really - I've never gassed anything other than an Omega.
I will use Stag 300+ and KME gold dual output vap.
The engine is essentially a Duratec V6. Does this have weaker valves like the Zetec? if so - flashlube?
I don't have a clue where to start with wiring for switched feed, RPM, etc.. whereas the Omega I know where to look by eye..
that will be something I'll have to look into!
Also - there is a huge spare wheel recess for a tank - BUT the battery is located next to it. I need to check whether that would fall foul of the COP.
Won't be starting for a few weeks, when I feel better - but wish me luck ;D :y

Valves are a bit soft so you need a lube kit.

I have a feeling this engine has a returnless fuel system with closed loop control of the fuel pressure so it could be quite an involved LPG install if that's the case.
Flashlube is indeed required, as said.

Must have Flashlube and, even so, expect to see VSR in fairly quick order (70k max), but that won't be an issue for you as you'll change car again long before reaching 70k in it :-X ::)
As KW says, the petrol fuel system will probably need fiddling with to keep the ECU happy. Possibly as detailed as fitting a "restricted flow" return to the tank :o

Oh, and as for the battery... Worst case scenario is you might need to fit some form of protection between the battery and the tank :y

Think it has to be done, its not getting used due to fuel costs.

OK... I'm making a call tomorrow so I can now say that there are 2 wanted (potentially) ;)

Be prepared for an almost constant EML, most LPG'd Jags whether the V6 or the V8 almost always throw up lean running codes or misfire codes.

Yup its potential, like to see how much for the kit + tank. Will go 80L this time, as that fits better than 90L.

If done properly there is no need. The biggest issue is the fuel return ;)
Unfortunately you will mostly see the ones with a problem as a natural reaction to your job ;)

Most problems are caused by fitters who in reality don't have a clue what they are doing, they can fit the main components and thats about it, if looked into properly it can be done successfully, though the Jag ECU's do tend to be overly sensitive to little changes in any parameters it sees.

Bolted down with hollow bolts to allow natural venting outside the car :y

If it's anythnig like my setup, as long as you have the covers in place there is more than enough of a barrier :y
