A colleague in my last job had this one on the A66. Lucky git escaped with a broken pelvis and 6 months off work!!!!

He let another driver out in stationary traffic, unfortunately she didn't look and both got hit with this. 38 tonnes of newsprint rolls. :o

well as a starting point the front grill still seems fine  ::)

seriously though seen a lot of pics like this - father was a traffic inspctor, and in his days they occasionaly brought work home which, also in his days, was a photograph rather than digi cam shot.  :-/

Small car....just goes to show why they get such a good NCAP score I suppose, looks like all the crumple zones worked well and kept the driver in one piece....

Yeah just noticed this post this is the Ncap rating for the astra my wife has the same car astra g estate

Saw a Ford Ka the other day that had been hit on the rear offside quater by a VW Beetle. Couldn't see the damage to the bug as it was in a hedge and the old bill were moving us along, but there was absolutly nothing left of the back quater of the Ka. Don't think it was a very fast impact but enough to make me rremind myself of the advantages of a big car -
