Hi,
I'm trying to source some dry foam underlay for my Omega saloon, and possibly carpets. I stopped in a flood before Christmas and have ripped all the carpets and thick foam underlay / sound proofing out.
Rather than putting it back in when it eventually dries and it potentially smelling forevermore, I wondered if it was possible to source these new. My Vauxhall dealer can't help and ebay has carpets but no shaped foam.
Any ideas?

A few car's ago I had a Shogun Pinin and I thought the sound proofing wasn't very good, so I just used regular 8mm carpet underlay and a spray adhesive. I put it in the doors and behind all the panels, it worked perfectly ;)
I can't remember the exact sound reduction but it was a very noticeable reduction above 50mph

The foam I'm talking about is very thick, and shaped to the contours of the metal shell.

How about trying one of the 'car Breakers' on here, look in the parts for sale section....... :y :y

I would imagine new ones from VX will be silly money. :-\

if you cant source from a vx dealer/breaker..... would it be worth trying somewhere like fabric warehouse?

I geuss you could power wash your old ones out and dry them out again and all would be fine not much work and less money
