Post by: venom on 18 January 2013, 21:30:37
Today used snow mode once with no problems but then later on no snow mode but it felt like it was stuck in snow mode as it seems to be pulling off in top & automatic gearbox check is showing up on MID, any idea's please

First thing to do will be to check the fluid level and then if no better get the gearbox codes read and post them up on here for more advice.
you will need a tech2 to read gearbox ecu codes.

You really need to get the gearbox codes read to be sure what's going on. Can you reproduce it or does it work OK again after a restart?

Fluid level check will never do any harm, though.

Have you been sliding around a lot? I once managed to confuse the ABS on snow and it temporarily put the gearbox into limp mode.

Gearbox limp (which you are getting if you have the gearbox warning on MID/TID) is similar to snow mode, as it starts you off in high gear.

Ideally needs a gearbox code read if it keeps happening.  I may be the range switch just got full of snow though.
