:y
went and picked up another vauxhall estate 2.0 16v lpg today. brought it off a OOfer too :y thank you claire.
shes mint :y
Got a few things id like to do to her before she does some serious motoring.
Cosmetically she is mint very sexy looking will be even better once we have
1. change the seats over in the front.
2. change the door cards.
3. needs unbadging on the bonnet
4. rust treat and respray rust areas.
5. put smoked side repeaters on her.
mechanically she is good really happy with her just a couple of things.
1. change the wiper blades as they are not 100% in this weather.
2. oil and filter change.
3. gearbox fliud change, (gearbox is nice and smooth but dont think its ever been done.)
4. Brake fluid change and bleed. (Her brakes are very reactive but dont know how old the fliud is)
5. coolant flush through and change.
6. get battery changed in one key and have it re programmed.
7. get her on the uklpg register ( when i can afford the cost of the inspection)
8. find out why she smells of rotten eggs when you put your foot down hard.
Shes going to be our main family car and mrs miggy is going to be my commuter as i know her and her noises and kinks.

Sounds like I've got some competition in the "Oh no, I've bought another Omega" stakes! ;D
Glad you're happy with your new purchase Marie. Look forward to seeing her once you've waved your magic wand over her! :y

Careful Marie, it can get contagious after the 2nd one. ;)
-
Congrats on your new arrival ;) Watch out twiglet ;D :y
-
Thankyou guys.
well it will be an as and when with Tish (Formally known as Morticia) with working away from home i dont really have much time to work on the motors unless im home for extended periods holidays and such like. Dont worry though i will do the jobs and tinker :y
twiglet two is my max not having anymore i have no where to put them drive is only big enough for one. and parking in the close is epic. plus if i eneded up with a third it would have to be for a very good reason lol
I have two half engines now which i like no reason to have a bigger engine just costs more lol. plus they are much easier to work on more space in the engine bay unlike the V6 lol
oh yeah just thought need to add sort the power steering leak. thats the easy job looks like the jubile clip is loose its going to take me longer to clean the leak up then fix it :'(

As far as migs go I reckon its like Mother in laws=You only need 1 ;D ;D ;D

My 2 estates would look absolutely identical, if I hadn't put all the Irmscher stuff on the 3.2. ::) Oh well, I'll just have to do the same with the dti! ;D
-
You on the look out for a third one Marie? ;D ;D ;)
When one goes "wrong", at least you have a set of "spares" on the other to "troublesoot/fix" :y

There are allot more ugly cars than the FL Omega which i think looks classy with a modern twist without being too modern if that makes sense :y
-
Sorry mate face lift saloon way fugly compared to pre face lift saloon Only estate can really get away with that fugly front due to boxy shape TBH

I disagree. Each to their own an all :)
-
give it a couple of months and the weather has improved and i have had chance to wash and wax both cars ill put them together and take some picks.
i like the bonnet on tish ( face lift) but the bumper on mig (mini facelift)
-
Dont like pre face lift interior though it is tougher. face lift front reminds me of volvo ???

Hope she serves you well. :y

Its in my name 2for2 so she can do what she wants, >:( but better not screw it up
-
NOW NOW babe dont be like that ;D or you can fix her yourself!!!! ::)
Then again its probally quicker if i do some jobs ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Marie and 2for2, hope Morticia/Tish serves you well :y.
Personally, like you have one of each, I have a favourite. In my case, its the MFL. Admittedly the FL doors seem less prone to rust.

lol at the banter!
Never noticed a smell of eggs before - could it be the new exhaust section bedding in?
I was tempted to get an Irmy grille for her, but never got around to it - I think it would really set her off tbh.
Morticia will look great when you've worked your magic on her. :y
BTW, contact LPG Conversions in Heanor who did the LPG service last year, they should have put her on the LPG register.
I never did a gearbox oil change, it was one of those things on the 'to do' list.....
Got a lovely video of you driving off yesterday, it looked really good when Jase pulled away at the same time and the 2 black Migs went off up the road together - brought a tear to the eye .....
Anyway, I'm on the hunt for my new mini-MPV now there's space on the drive again - might just have found what I want in Birmingham too :)
Hugs to Morticia, hope she gives you many years of faithful and reliable service :y

Claire
it could be the case need better weather to go give her a blast
ill try but a service and inspection are 2 diffenet things they might but doubt it.
Mother inlaw likes her jase took her out in her today doubt she would drive her though as shes to big for her.
Tish has already left her mark on my drive :'( its not a lot but its leaking i just dont have the time to start looking its too cold and wet. were not really using her yet to be honest but it has just joined the list of things to do.

Garage said they'd sorted the oil leak - and you've got the receipts to show work done - or is it PAS fluid from jubilee clip?
Hope its an easy fix x
