The jaaaag is fantastic in the snow. Lots of slidy slidy lefty righty, big grins and opposite lock. Not got stuck once though :y
-
No issues with my Astra based car...maybe its the auto box or the tyres
-
I had quite a few "experiences" in the Astra the last few days. It is auto and has somewhat slick tyres on the front :-[
Just booked it in for 2 nice new Uniroyal Rainsport 2 on Wednesday afternoon :y

Yeah, I've been having far to much fun for a middle aged man as well.
Although there was an incline about half hour ago, covered in compacted snow, that I thought might have been more than we (the car and I) could handle... ...so back on with sensible head, thought about having the gearbox in snow, but decided to see what it could do without. Gently up she went, probably double/triple walking pace, with the TC occasionally firing one of the brakes to keep her straight. Perfectly predictable, and perfectly controllable.

Obviously, once it flattened out, back to childish fun ::)

When it snows, the easiest way to get the car back in my drive is to switch traction off as I enter the cul-de-sac, turn the steering hard and boot it briefly. Back end comes round a treat, then put it in reverse and back in to the drive in one manoeuvre. The neighbours must think I'm well childish. ::) ::)
I live on the end, so if I get it wrong I'll slide into my own fence. :) :)

Same here :y
Between the LSD and the traction control, give it a bootfull in a straight line and it slips a bit then just gets on with it, won't let it rev above 1500 :y
However, TC off and wind the wheel round.... ::)

Don't think it's the auto box, but I do suspect the tyres.
