was just at the vx dealer for a gearbox filter and they wanted £63.00 plus vat is that the right price

Sounds about right - retail price.  Best source is a guy on the Autobahnstormers site - Dave Kimber?

I've been told they are expensive. . . so could be right. I was quoted £170 ish for a fluid and filter change.  :'(

Wash your old filter out with paraffin. ;)

looks like i will need to pay up as there is no point in just changing the oil in the gearbox
