Title: Remote Door Locking

My passenger door refuses to unlock with the remote most of the time ... on a  warm day it seems ok

Do I need a new solonoid?

If so how much?

Yes, looks like a microswitch going :(

Short term try spraying light oil/wd40 down the "button" at the top of the door - might buy you a bit of time  ;)
