Ah, mystery solved, turns out it from a Neighbour across the way, White Van Man, left them for me after doing a Garage clear out this morning for someone.

just been over to thank him and ask if I owe him anything, his response, 'nope your fine, there for your Vauxhall thing'ys, no good to me Ive got a Ford', at which point I nearly said, yea but....   then thought, shut up Chris, just be grateful. ;)

Now next question, Full Synth 5W30, ok for the occasional small top ups with normal 10W40 semi in there?  :-\

Ah ok, fairly sure it was when I checked, probably means the sale offer closes tonight at 12 midnight, I had this before with Halfords they seem to close the door online about an hour before!  :-\

10.00 is a Bl**dly good price TBH, free is even better, shame this freebie didn;t happen yesterday as doing the homework reckon I would have bought some more.

Having said that, just saved crap loads online on there 'better than half price' for the Turtle Wax gear.
 ;)

Worth popping into Halfrauds just in case. They had piles of oil at a tenner for 4l in the local one a week or so ago.

Kevin thats for suggesting that:

I went to Halfords and they didn't have any - went home and website said they did, so I did a reserve and collect. Went to pickup today and they gave me semi synth Ford oil, so I say not what I ordered. They say sorry we don't have the GM fully synth in 4ltrs, oh but we do have it in a combination of 5ltr and 2ltr cans - you will end up with an extra litre but we will do it for the same price, is that ok?

So 17ltrs for £40 :-)

Steve

Did better than Me Steve, went to pick up my less than half price Turtle Wax stuff and bits, saving a fair bit.

When asked about the Fully Synth for a Tenner they just fell about laughing.  :(

Disapointing - my branch did say they had shifted a hugh quantity with garages coming in and buying 20 or 30 cans a time!

At least you got the other bits :-)

I went into get some and completely sold out so he rang through to another and yep sold out , so no doubt these garages will be forwarding on a hefty price for oil changes with all the cheap oil they stocked up on  ::)

Probably more like, 'we will need to charge a bit more for the Oil Change as we would highly recommend Fully Synth on your Car'  ::)
