Title: Luke Warm Air in Cabin
Post by: RayONeill on 27 January 2013, 21:47:34
Hi Folks, need some advise.
Recently had new Water Pump fitted, due to leak, however before and after fitting still cannot get heat into car.
Removed hoses from Matrix and flushed both directions, got a bit more heat through after this, but now back to virtually cold air.  DOES ANYONE THINK it could be the Heat Exchange Valve, if so I'll get one an pop it in, although I know it's a bit of a fiddly job.

you mean Heater Bypass Valve(HBV)  its is at rear of engine on drivers side Has one waterpipe at one end and two at other end-Fairly easy to do on yours mate There is pic of hbv on this one for v6 but its same hbv ok mate

Yeah that's the part, just wondering if this would solve the problem of heat in the cab ?? - guess no harm in trying as it's a cheap part to buy
