I've noticed over the time on OOF (nearly a year)that you can highlight previous posts on a topic in your new post, how do you do this..........keep it simple please!

press quote, right click and drag the cursor over the text you want to highlight then click the yellow square with the black H in!

That has just taught me something that I never knew, but realised other people were doing, over......well a lot of years!! ::) ::) ::) ::) ;D ;D ;)

A small error like that did get me ......not suprisingly with computers

I have just realised that I am thinking at cross purposes. I actually know how to highlight a quote :D :D :D
What I thought this post was about was how you take a section from somebodies post and just quote that sentence or paragraph out of a whole piece of text. When I press quote I always end up with the whole section that the previous poster has written. How do you do that please? ??? ???

How do you do that please? ??? ???
Just delete the bits you don't want. :y Is that what you meant. :-\

Ok! Thanks! :D :D :y :y :y :y It was simpler than I thought! I believed somehow other members knew a special way of doing it, as I always think things have to be complicated with computers! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
That is after one basic programming course, two college courses, another two computer training courses taking Pre-Access and Access, plus university computer training! I can navigate around Excel, doing spreadsheets without bother, carry out graphic construction with Inspiration 8 IE plus operating other programmes, but sometimes when I get to simple stuff I go into 'empty' mode! ;D ;D ;D ;D :y
