"PDR" Paintless Dent Repair
http://editorial.autos.msn.com/article.aspx?cp-documentid=434597
I was just wondering if anyone has had any luck / good results using this procedure and how much does it cost roughly, is it cost affective for the results it gives etc.,
I've tried calling the only place locally that does it but have had no answer as no one seems to answer the phone. As this Omega im interested in has a rather big dent passenger rear light side just below the light on the curved part and a ding type dent on the passengers side front wing fairly small but very noticeable.
I don't fancy doing body work on my next Omega purchase if I can help it but I heard of this "PDR" method as the dents are curved you could say with no paint damage nor any rust so they should in theory come out.
Any advice would be appreciated.. :)

I used a local, independent company and was highly impressed. They did my car and her car, several little dings and scratches. Was here for 5+ hours and they were spotless... Cost me £300 :y

I presume £300 was for both cars ?
I couldn't justify more than £100 for two dents myself but knowing these garages they don't get of their behind for ££££ so and so much ::)

very effective procedure if done by a real professional. but expensive .. one of my cars hail damage repaired with that method..

Yep, very good results on various things :).

Depending on the severity and sharpness of the dent, I can definitely vouch for it being worthwhile with truly remarkable results. :y
I'm very lucky there though, as my son does it for a living. ;) :) :y

Seem to remember Countess Dundee had someone fettle his silver machine some time ago and he was very pleased with the results. Like anything it all depends on the skill of the guy doing it I suppose.

So do I but you can rarely get them anywhere that you need them, actually they are pretty much unused..... ::) ::)

The one on the wing would be difficult but the rear dent has potential for a hammer . I've managed to get through to the chap I've been recommended from a fried who does car respraying and comes highly recommended and cost wise starting from £45 can even come to where you live (locally) .

I tried once. Thought "how hard can it be" ? I soon found it,its much harder than it looks. Had to buy a new wing for the car. ;D

They use an assortment of tools, not just hammers. My son has various bars, levers, slide hammer with various sized pads and glue sticks for pulling out dents before dressing them. He has light rails for highlighting dings and dents and a gazebo to work under at car shows. He's a really fussy bugger and does an excellent job. :y Just a shame that all his clobber clutters up my garage. ::)
Hope you get it sorted as they can do a great job. :y

think I'd rather have the dents lol drilling would expose the metal and then it will have been exposed to the dreaded rust :D ;D :o

Errr no! :o :o ;D That's for Body Shop filler repairs.
If there is no access behind the dent, you would use something like this, and then dress it out afterwards with an assortment of tools. :y

Have a look at " car dent removal with hair dryer"on you tube
Worked great on one of mine but no good on the other . Worth a try only £4.00 for a can of air & nothing for SWMBOS hairdryer
