I have a Yamaha RDS Reicever that I normally just plug my phone into and use the AUX setting (front RCS sockets) and all works fine. Decided to buy a Pioneer 300 CD carousel changer so I dont have to keep using /changing CD's (just load em all and press play) Unit seems to work and play cd disks ok, but I cant get any sound whislt using the AUX socket, allthough a big job to get to and extract the amp am I going to have to connect it to the CD in Sockets at the rear to get the correct Line out to line in values for it to play.

Not really sure what your trying to do Mr S, play your Mobile MP3 through the CD or the CD through the Receiver?

I have played my phone through the AUX on the amp and all works ok, but to quickly try the CD Unit I tried using the same input method, but no sound from CD Player.
Question is because its a CD Player (and not a headphone output from a Phone) does it have to be in the CD Inpit/line in on the amp to get the line out/in values right

Right gotcha, should be ok then, Aux, line level, Rec, CD in, should all be the same level, exceptions would normally be Mic or Magnetic input (Turn Table).
So guessing your just trying to test the CD at the moment, should work on the Reciever;s Aux in although best to plug straight into the Amps CD/Aux in and see what happens.
Any Soft Settings on the CD to select output type, any strange Record in / out loop throughs on the back?

Cheers Zirk, going to have a good look at it all tomorrow and see if I can get it to work, also have the fibre optic option to try allthough I have the cable I have never tried it before. (Am off the download a manual now) :y
