Two new drive shafts has cured the grating and clonking on the pug , sweet as a nut now :y
Thanks to martin42 for popping over this evening to sort it ;)
Chucked a bucket of water over it for a clean , job done .

bu the way did you serviced the alternator ? as its a common fail point at french cars..

Drive shafts have 2 year warranty so pleased with that together with being cheap to replace also ;)

best bet is to measure the voltages first.. open the lights and AC(if it has) and check the voltage .. something less than 13.5 (DC) volts may cause a headache later.. (meaning it needs to be serviced) :y

Will check that then cem , thanks :y Starter motor needs to come out for a clean first though ;)
