Title: rear jacking point
Post by: SMD on 02 February 2013, 16:45:40
My rear arches are covered in mud after I went off roading during my visit to WIM today. Need to jack the rear a little to wash away the crud. In the past I have used the triangle cover of the donut bushes.

Now with new bushes and setup I want to double check its ok to do this.

pS. I have an off centre steering wheel  :-\

Firstly, why on earth did you go off road to visit WIM? ::)

Secondly... If the wheel is off centre then you need to let Tony know and go back ;)

I know it took me a few times on my first visit there but found that there weren't any particularly good roads around WIM to rule out the road camber playing a part ::)

I took a wrong turn somewhere and sat nav redirected me off road  :-[ this was before I got to WIM

The roads around WIM are the worst I've ever driven on so couldn't be sure about the steering until I joined the motorway, by then I wasn't sure if they close up early due to it being a Saturday.

I think you need to ditch the sat nav and buy a map :y

Sat nav is ancient, bought in 2007 and even then it was an old model on offer. It didn't even recognise WIMs postcode. It has its uses, and most of the time it recognises streets the car nav doesn't.

Lazy docker, any idea what the road is called? I'll look it up on google maps

Nope... But if you trace back from WIM you can probably find it... I think it's the road the industrial estate is on

Ok enough with the retard bashing.  ;D

Technically it was not off road, just a very bumpy one with no tarmac  ;D

I think it was a small section of Beechwood Avenue or Bell Lane
