Sorry to harp on about it, but here's a little video I nailed together of the trip.
I apologise for the more ropey bits as it's my first attempt at such a thing.
It's about 8 minutes long, so stick with it as there's some fun bit's involving water pistols towards the end.

Enjoy!!

I can't take the hit on that one, my mate was driving!!
And besides, the Senny has two more cylinders and about 50 more BHP, (But four less valves ironically!!), so I ain't grumblin'.
However, the BatmoBile made it all the way back to Blighty having accomplished a 10:42 round the 'Ring then was unceremoniously thrashed around Knockhill and is still going strong. 8-)
The Speeedfreaks Senator is languishing in a Scrapyard somewhere in middle Italy!! :-/
'Ave it!! ;)

Sadly no mate! I gave it away to a coupl'a guys from Edinburgh in return for running my tools 'n' shit home. I think they're intent on using it for a run next year tho', providing they don't send a piston into orbit beforehand that is!!

Thanks for the feedback guys!!
I have to say, that weekend is emblazoned on my memory for eternity. To say it was fun is a gigantic understatement.
If you like cars, beer and a little bit of adventure, get yourself on one of these things. You'll never regret it!!

Could not agree more! :D
Will certainly be doing it again next year!
Senator was too relaible though, I want something a little "challenging".... I keep thinking Citroen BX! ;D
-
Now that just might be a challenge LB!
Great work Rod!

LB, although I won't be going on one next year, I can't help looking on eBay for cars under £100!! I think I'm addicted!! :-?
I am however thinking on something slightly lower tech, like a Cortina or a Viva or something along those lines.
The other thing I keep obsessing about is the theme!!!! I got a few lined up. (I see there were a few Batmobiles this year!! Ours was the best obviously!!)
Tunnie,
I can't recommend a drive through the Swiss Alps enough. Take in as many passes as you can and make sure the brakes on your car are up to scratch!! You won't regret it. *
* (Unless of course you fall of the road. In which case you'll regret it for about 10 - 15 seconds till the car hits the bottom!!!)
