Surely Vauxhall didn't fit this system or countenance it's fitting in their name? ???

They did fit Lpg from new :y A short lived range, but included all the Astra varieties, Vectra B, the Omega and Zafira. Circa '99-'00 :y

But not in UK spec Omegas AFAIK ;)
Actually, it was never "Factory Fitted" as it was done by a couple of companies before delivery to the dealer :y
But that definitely isn't "Factory Fit" and also is unlikely to comply with COP 11 if interpreted strictly because the tank is mounted lengthways ;) It's allowed as long as you can successfully secure it to withstand the correct G forces ;)

it is a vauxhall system as it the koltec necam system that is also on my vectra with factory fit, this is also backed up by the change over switch on the centre consol, its also got the duelfuel sign on back fitted by vaux but do know they can be bought of the bay, only other option is someone has retro fitted off a vectra as it piggy backs the main ecu so just plug and play

Mine has a Opel branded/Koltec system fitted, apparently the kit came with the car then the dealer got it fitted locally!

Yeah, was offered in UK.
As I understand it, they rolled off as petrol, and a 3rd party fitted the Koltec system, before delivery to dealer.

Looked up the VIN, no mention of it being factory fitted with LPG - I thought it was on there :-\
-
only was of telling is on the logbook, if factory fitted it is diferent named or so is on mine, also have a book with the vectra from vaux saying it factory fit and a nice silly sticker on underside of the bonnet

Give me the Vectra reg, I'll check if its down as fitted when leaving factory :y

I didn't know the Omega was ever offered with it but stand corrected :y
You are correct... The Koltec system, which is shockingly poor incidentally, was fitted by Millbrook IIRC

When running they're actually very good but once they start going wrong it can get eyewateringly expensive very quickly :o :o
One version works slightly differently in that instead of injectors it has a LPG "Distributor" which can gunk up and fail.
If you're lucky enough for a version with injectors then the downside is that there are no service parts available (although I think there has been a breakthrough on this front recently) and they aren't interchangeable with any other stuff ::)
And, of course, there's also the version with a liquid phase LPG pump in the tank which is prone to failure and costs more than a new, normal tank (if you can even get a pump!) ::)
