Title: Fish Fingers

Had a Cod Fish Finger sandwich for supper last night, well there wasn't much fish. I am sure that they used be twice the size they are now, all breadcumb coating and very litttle fish. >:( >:(

Another shrinking product but going up in price :(

Time I made my own I think  :y :y

Im guessing you had the Captains ones , you cant beat the original . Hope they werent filled out with horse meat or something  :( Oh and must have salt & vinigar on them  :y

I cannot abide any other form of fish. There's your answer to how much fish they have in them. ;D

Downsizing. That 200g jar of coffee  is now often 190g. The list is endless. :-\

Don't expect the price to drop........ :-\

When I was a lad it took two of us to carry a Mars bar back from the shop!
  :y :y and a wheelbarow to carry the bottle of dandilion & burdock back from the paper shop with a penny if you returned the bottle :y :y :y :y

I said something similar to swmbo last time we had them, not what they used to be.... :( :(

Two vital words there...'cod' and 'fish'.

I love fish....well most of it.......but we have learnt to now buy items with the actual wording 'Cod portions', or 'Cod fish fingers'.
I had some fish portions a few nights ago, swmbo never dreamed they would not be cod.........geez, were they awful....tasted absolute crap. When she checked the pack after, it was worded something like 'contains various cuts of fish'....no mention of cod. >:(

I bought a Youngs cod fish finger at the weekend, yet to try it.
The message on the box says "the only branded  fish finger still made  in Britain.
So where are the captain`s made then?

Bought some Pollock fish fingers from Lydl yesterday , very nice indeed but still not as good as the captains  :)
