You need a passenger to wiggle stuff.
Behave.

Bet its his door card-typical on p/f/lift
Not really. PFL door cards are normally much quieter, and tend not to suffer the rattles and shakes of the FL ones.

This cold weather brings out all the squeaks & creaks.
I`m getting more off a creaking noise from the nearside rear sometimes.

What about with handbrake off?
-
first noticed it driving slowly dab the brakes .........creak!
then nothing for a couple of days & this morning backing out brake a bit .......creak!
The coil springs are fine, about the only thing I spotted are rotten looking exhaust pipes connecting to the rear box, so that`s looking like a new exhaust systen before July mot. rocking the car stationary & nothing. must be something related to the rear suspension.

Reckon your problem is broken handbrake shoe retainers They can rot and pull through backplate :y

My old omega has a squeak coming from the middle pillar. Took me weeks to find it. I cured it by moving the top seatbelt height hanger up a bit. Bit like the old Golf advert with the girl with a squeaky ear ring.

I did get an advisory on the mot last year : imbalance on the parking brake N/s
I`ve never had the rear discs off & there`s nothing in the service history.

Give it a service as per the guide, and see what happens then. As it needs doing anyway.
However, without hearing, it could be a number of things - bushes, ARB, brakes etc
