How much would i be looking at for a genuine cambelt and the bits for a 2.2i petrol automatic. ?
-
Can usually go conti or gates for the belt, also get a waterpump too.

From VX around £142.00 + VAT with TC.
Cheaper from other factors (Gates/Contitech kit/ QH pump)

:o Might just risk leaving the belt alone (for the time being) I don't do that much milage anyway. Plus its not worth spending silly money on something which isn't worth much, just did a valuation and got around £550 :-\
It needs all these this year ideally..
x4 tyres
Cambelt
Front/rear shocks
Wishbones x2
Rear discs
etc...

£56 INCLUDING VAT for a pattern kit from a well known online parts website - pattern being perfectly acceptable to use. You just need to shop around. In this case it's buypartsby.
Sod the valuation - what's the car worth to YOU?
On balance, if it's a good'un, you'll probably realise it's worth spending :y

Remember it's 4 years or 40k which ever is first without fail!
More critical on 4 pots, as water pump is cambelt driven :)
