Hi all, after driving all the country looking at shagged out Omegas I'm beginning to wonder if there are any nice ones left ! There is a 03 plate 2.6cdx with leather for sale near me at 1300quid, black, full service history and really tidy, 99,000 miles on it. Is that the going rate for one of these, seen them cheaper but in worse condition. I just dunno what they are worth any more, getting frustrated :-\

As they are getting quite old now, I think you do need to pay a premium for ones in better condition. As there are lots & lots of sheds out there.
I bought the 3.2 I have, purely because it was in excellent condition. Even exhaust heat shields were rust free :o Its got new exhaust, wishbones, perfect condition leather. Problem is I don't use the damn thing at the moment, still got my 2.2 LPG.
Think i'll end up SORN'ing it for a while, until i really need it.
I paid less than £1k for mine, but I was lucky.
Jimbob has a 3.2 MV6 Estate for sale :y

Sounds like you got a good deal there mate :y I can't seem to find anything decent, went to look at a 2.6cd last week, advertised as 'excellent' , fag burns on seats, engine tapping, oil leaks, central locking not working, boot realease not working, shite budget tyres all round and £1200. Idiot. I think they are firmly in 'banger' category now, but some of the sellers don't ask banger money for them. I'll have a look for Jimbos car, thanks.

Jimbobs will be an excellent example :y
Got to get the good ones while you can, problem only going to get worse as time goes on :(

This one's had just about everything done to it :y

Came over to the UK 2 weeks ago and bought a spotless 2001 2.2 CDX tourer 100k on the clock for £750 with new VX exchange engine fitted 6 month ago. Only 1 problem wipers has a mind of their own. New engine was fitted as VX mechanic cocked a belt change and screwed the engine.
The norm does seem around £1300 to £1500. It took me over a year to find a good one.

They are still out there, you just need to take your time, :y I got mine for £450 at an auction 52 plate, 10 months mot, VXservice history, 49,000 and very clean in and out with NO rust. :y Pics are in the photo section.

Just looked at an 03 cdx, bloke selling was a right twonk. I phoned him this morning to tell him I was going, he said yeah ok he would be there all day. Got there, car buried in warehouse behind 20 other cars, he hadn't even bothered to get it out, could hardly open the doors or see around it, started it up and it ran out of petrol. 'You'll have to come back tomorrow' Not bloody likely, I drove an hour to get there. Idiot.
I'm glad you're all finding nice cars to buy, I'm fed up of looking at them now. Missed a nice 2.6cd estate this morning, went on ebay last night, sold this morning first thing, missed it by minutes, he sold it as I was talking to him. Reckons phone went beserk this morning with peeps wanting to buy it.
Ah well, I'll keep looking.

I bought a 2002 2.2 Auto (Petrol) Sport Estate. 1 Owner from new only 60,000 miles, full VX service history. Paid just over £1,000. Won it on e-bay like you I hunted for months. Could not find a good 2.6 so went for this. I still had to do the brakes and repair the air con. Got two small jobs left and the car in my opinion will be in mint condition. It has even had a boot liner in from new so the boot floor is totally unmarked. Not many like that out there. Patience required I am afraid.
