My mate put new rear brake shoes in his Focus-due to squeaking - his new ones doing same ??? so what's up-any ideas-springs are new too

Did he lightly sand the surfaces to de glaze  :) Or can sham fer edges of shoes .

Yep it's a feature, good quality shoes help and good fitting is key but they tend to still squeak.

don't forget to make sure there is slack in the handbrake
