Title: plenum change
Post by: omgj on 09 February 2013, 18:37:03
is there any benefit to fitting the later longer x30xe inlet plenum to an early short plenum engine?

am i right in saying it should give me a little bit more torque as its longer??

also are the 3.2 exhaust manifolds worth fitting?? are there any benefits??

cheers  :)

What were they then?
I know the 3.2 fanimolds Are well worthwhile, but have no idea on the longer plenum.

used the search bar and from what i can gather the longer plenum is only good for the 3.0 for more flow but the 2.5 responds better with the shorter plenum.

3.0 also like uprated fuel pressure regulator 4bar.

Longer plenum is a nuisance anyway, as it has to be removed to get to the cam cover.
Although to be fair, it's just that I've done that so often recently  :-[

The Omega injectors have enough capacity, so uprating the FPR will makes precisely the square root of FA difference on this car...   ...other than upset the trims.

Is there any difference between the 2.5 and 3.0 short plenums?
