Must admit I like the look of the Chrysler and in diesel it is not a bad compromise between fuel consumption and economy..... :) The Chrysler is a little to rich for me at the moment but getting there... ;) Anyone got any experience of the diesel engine?
Anyone want to swap a late saloon for an estate? as if anyone would, but got to ask.... :D :D
-
Its a nice offer....but no thanks :y

The Crysler 300 was one of the cars I looked at as a replacement for the Elite. Its a big old tub, nice inside with all mod cons, but handles like a pig :( Needless to say I looked elsewhere ;)
-
I think the 300c is the type of car an unsuccessful drug dealer would drive. ::) ;D
-
Have seen these when looking at Estates too, they are big and cheap. Handling not much of a concern for MotherT.
Its all Merc underneath I think? Their older engines and drive train?
-
I'd have an estate if I could afford one :y

Father has one Mercedes floorpan and running gear, handle like a sofa as comfortable as a sofa lots of toys, aircon is like a frezzer in the summer, good sounds, sat nav.
But no room in the boot,
loads of cabin space no boot room more space in omega estate than 300c estate.

My father has a estate diesel to. Comfy, loads of toys to play with. His has a satellite tv fitted but looses signal on the move. Needs a "G" meter when cornering with speed. When he comes down the kids always say the mafia or a hearse is coming up the drive. Smaller boot space than my estate.

Saloon bootspace is similar to Omega saloon

If you actually 'drive' a car then drive one through bends as you would any other car.
Then spend your cash elsewhere.
In my opinion, of course.
Whilst it ticks so many boxes for me as a replacement for the omega, the reality is light years away from fruition.

They're good cars, had a few, diesels are nice, drive well enough, comfy, lots of kit :y. Plenty of cheap ones about.

somehow I think MotherT would struggle, being only 5ft3. In the BMW 5's even with seat mega high, she struggled

There's a seat angle adjuster on the seats as well, did she use that bit?, as that can add a bit of height. That said, my partner, she's about 5' 3" too and she does look tiny in there :-\

Its a concern of mine, that in a lot of modern cars she is too close the wheel. In the Omega its not too bad, she is a good distance from the wheel.

Could well be dodgy and painful if the airbag activates - you may need to look for a car that senses driver position and if too close turns off air bag - have that system in the Jag for both driver and passengers.

Even a galactic miles omega estate is better than any 300c. Horrible bloody things IMO.
