Title: I saved today....
Post by: Taxi_Driver on 02 November 2006, 11:13:37
Using my TC card at vx £19.52 on a cam sensor for my 2.2

Then at Halfords using their trade card £1 off 500ml Comma white grease
£2.04 off 500ml Wynns Carb cleaner
£3.67 off pack of 2 orange indicator bulbs

= £26.23  8-)

As I have said before, anyone on here, near me wanting to take advantage of either card (if you dont have one obviously) just give me a shout, I'll be happy to help out  :y

I hang my head in shame....

I have just paid up to the site which shall not be named to get some trade cards.
They just offer more than migweb et al, so makes economic sense.

I need to build up a collection of tools so having both will be handy.

Should have got the bulbs from the dealer, cheaper still (£1 each or £6.30 for 10) and better quality.

My local dealer (Evans Halshaw) never seems to have anything in stock for omega, it took them three days to get me a knock sensor!

Doubt any dealer would hold a knock sensor - they very rarely fail (wiring does though)

Cheers for the offer, but most of the time I want to go and get something there and then so just easier to be able to wander in on my way home than try and arrange a meetup, esp the way lookers makes you queue! Laziness also plays a part, "oh its only a wiper, not wother bothering" etc etc.

how do you get a halfords trade card?

You need to visit the Dark Side and register for a card - try google search on VXON.

Register for the card - then never visit that place again!

If you can blag a 'real' card, thats better, as its free, plus you get access to website for prices, and also get a printed pricelist book sent every 6 months.

With the club type cards, you do not have any access to price lists...
