Full year losses of just over €5 billion. The cars, although not very good, are not absolute crap, so its got to be a management issue.

Because it'sa French company, the EU has approved a
bailout loan through government-backed bonds. Just as well as the French government would have done it without permission from the EU. ;D

The French government part owns loads of companies over here. For example Robert Norbet transport, Renault Trucks, Aqua Buses. It already has a small stake in PSA group (Citroen,Pug,Renault). Companies sell shares to the government for a type of loan. This has been done for years over here. Once the loans have been repaid the government keep the shares and any profits raised are spread around government/council services. That's why some services like council tax is much lower the the UK. Also monies raised goes towards health services.

Find it amazing TBH. I've just booked one of my vans into the Peugeot dealer local to the lad for it's first service. Their first price quoted was over £120 more than I pay at my local dealer for the same service :o :o
Still more expensive but not dramatically now, certainly not enough to justify bringing the vehicle on a 175 mile round trip and the potential loss of earnings whilst it's not in area ::)
I'm seriously considering dropping the warranty and servicing them myself :-\

Main dealer i much cheaper over here. I know a few people that come over on a day trip, have the vehicle serviced and top up on the ciggie,beers and their still have money left over.
My local Opel dealer charges 38e per hour and a mini service costs me 59e inc filters (oil,air) and oil, Fuel filter costs 12e extra.
As for warranty as long as a indie uses quality parts and stamps your book you'll have no problems. One thing they have to be vat registered.

Yep, aware of all that (has to be genuine or OE parts). I'm actually considering elbowing the warranty full stop TBH :-\
Mind you, I'll be VAT registered shortly and am in the motor trade so could service myself with genuine parts and invoice myself for it :-\ ::)
