Hi I wonder if anyone can help me, the engine fires up, but keeps cutting out. It only seems to show up when the weather is in minus temps.
Battery new, and fully charged up. ( not discharging).
no fuel problems (plenty of power)
Alternator also ok.
5 degrees runs sweet, then minus 1 degree run awful. Fires up but won't idle needs lots of revs. drives ok then cuts when stopping at lights. Nothing showing on dash?
grateful for any replies, thanks Alzer.

Hmmm, do you ever get the engine management light on?
Wondering if its worth a trip to Brackley to see if any of the sensors are reading duff...

Hi thanks for getting back. Yes I have had problems in the past where the EM light has come on. I should have said also in my previous posting its a 2.2cdx petrol, and usually is a great runner its had the head off only once at 142,000 miles. new gasket, and clean up. Now at 172,000 still pretty sweet runner. Until recent cold weather temps. It had a new battery last year still not twelve months old.
Its a odd problem my thinking is some sort of cold start sensor, not sure.
Yesterday during snow and cold weather it was cutting out every two mins... today she's sweet all over again.
