Post by: omega3000 on 14 February 2013, 16:53:31
Me shed is leaking like a siv  >:( Can anyone recommend  a very good water sealant , the shed felt has cracked along the edges and no matter how much bitumen sealant i use it still cracks  :(

Just get some new felt. It's pretty easy to pull the old stuff off and replace it.. unless it's rotten as a pear underneath. ;)

All that you've spent would have paid for the felt - its cheap

Especially when your next door neighbour builds a ruddy great summer house and gives you his left overs. :y

I have erected a lot of sheds and I always throw the felt they give you because it is s*&t and put a good quality green mineral felt on, you can get it quite cheaply from B&Q or any other retailer if you get the fibre glass strengthened ones they last years, use felt adhesive as well to get waterproof seems.  :y :y

Flat roofs will always, eventually, leak because they're not.....well.....flat. Little pools of water turn to ice and the felt has no chance.

The whole roof needs ripping off and making a higher run off but im not going to do that as plans have changed , just want to seal the leaks temp around the edges where its running underneath the felt where its split .
