Title: power sounder!!

hi,

Power sounder has gone off right now! how to switch it off. alarm is paused for 10 secs and then starts again.

How to switch off?

Unplug it and remove it from car - chuck it in a bucket of water and it will eventually expire ;)

Or do what most do , disconnect it take it out and hit it with a hammer . Quite satisfying getting your own back on it  >:( ;D

Thanks guys!! But what's the main purpose of this? And Will security alarm still work evenafter removing this?  :-\

with the sounder disconnected so only the hazard lights will flash. If you connect a horn as mentioned then sound restored.

no normal alarm is still there the powersounder is a seperate thing I believe it is there to go off if the battery is disconnected experts will clarify

When i removed it from 2.2 dti I left it in the garage, would it be advisable to put it in the bin.

My dead power sounder sat at the front of my garage fro a few weeks before I got around to binning it! I wouldn't lose sleep over it.  ;)

I think that mine is still in shed after at least 2 years I am waiting for the rats to eat it a suitable end to a useless part.
