hi guys is there anything i can do to tune my 3.0 mv6 it has cat back system and cone filter
-
Replace the cone filter with the standard one for a start, 3.0 can be chipped iirc, possibly fit 3.2 exhaust manifolds as they flow more freely :y

M Tech opel tuning. Chip costs about £270 and is a 15 minute job to change. Does it work ? Oh yes. Just have to watch the cold start map in temperatures under 3 degrees. The relationship between mixture and timing is a bit off on the 2.5 map so it needs a touch of accelerator to make it go.
It's virtually restored the acceleration on my 2.5 with a diesel diff to what it was with the original petrol one.

+1 for getting rid of the cone filter, all it will do is feed your engine hot air from the bay, and hot air = less fuel.
How about a 150hp shot of NOS, best BANG for buck.

My 99 MV6 miniface has the following mods
Courtenay/piper cams
Drilled airbox and k&n panel
Iridium plugs
Superchips specific map
Plans are to fit
Jetex full stainless exhaust system
Jetex downpipes with 200 cell sports cats
3.2 exhaust manifolds
Ideally like to find enlarged throttle bodies coupled to ported upper manifold and lower divider.
I'd like to convert to manual and LSD, but low mileage items are as rare as hens teeth, as my car has only done 64000 miles.
