A friend of mine has offered to make a couple of bits for me in stainless steel and I thought a nice shiny breather box would look good.

Of course I would need to know what in there first.
Is it just a spacer where all four breathers come together or is there more than one compartment?
-
There's pics in the breather cleaning guide iirc.

-
				There is indeed - excellent!
It looks like there are seperate tubes or compartments so making a box won't work.
There is a removable cover though so I'll get him to make one of those.   :y

Assume you mean the breather bridge cover, not the box. The breather box is out of sight at the rear of the engine.  :y

				Thats correct.
I simply went by what the call it on Ebay.

Just for clarity, I mean the black plastic part on top of the inlet plenum.

				This  :)

				Yep thats it.

Looks like a cover will be best - it will look the same as making a box anyway.

 Good pic though, thanks!

What are the two middle pipes on the breather box for?
I'm thinking of blocking the two outer ones, and fit a catch tank and i'm curious what the middle ones are for.

I'm glad I posted this thread now.

I had no idea about the breather box on the back of the engine, but now that I do I went and looked at the one on the Swindon engine.  Good job too - the small brass breather has been blocked with some kind of resin - I would have missed that completely!

I will use the breather box from the old engine, after a good clean of course.   :y

Yep that does get overlooked , and gets blocked ... easy job to do though , a quick poke clears it  8)

Also be aware that the small hole is not meant to be the full bore of the pipe.  :y

Yeah I noted that, but cheers for the nudge anyway.   :y
