Hi all, I bought a fiat doblo van 1.3 multijet back a few months ago.. when i was checking out the van there seemed to be no problems. but when i was driving it home (one hour away from where i bought it private) and the engine was heated like normal, i stopped at lights and noticed the engine oil light started to flash and when i drove on another bit it went away but when the van had low revs the light would keep randomly flashing but just reved over 1000 rpm the light would stop flashing... i brought it to my local mechanic and he changed the oil pump but still the light would flash(only when engine heated) iv tried changing the oil and mixing special oil thickner but still it keeps repeating..
( i tried bringing back to the lad i bought it off of but he wouldnt answer phone and i met him in a car park.. dodgy deal i know) can anybody help me please or am i just going to have to change the engine??
p.s the van is running ok and iv had no bother with engine

have you not changed the oil pressure switch???

Check the pressure properly ;)
You might be able to drop the sump and clean the strainer and cure it, it may have gone on too long ::)
