I've managed to get hold of a Tech 2, so I thought I'd read the engine codes on my dti, in an effort to solve the problem of it going into limp mode.
These are the codes that were stored...
P1125 Critical system malfunction 1 (refer to checking procedure: trouble code description)
P0400 Critical system malfunction 2 (refer to checking procedure: trouble code description)
I suspect the 0400 code would have come up because the previous owner had disconnected the EGR at some point, so the one I'm focusing on is the 1125 code.
I search on here would suggest the problem could be either leaking vac pipes, and problem with the boost solenoid, or possibly the MAF. So I shall be giving all the vac pipes and connectors a closing inspection, and I'll also be removing the inlet manifold for a thorough cleaning.
My question is, while I have the Tech 2 here, is there anything else I can do with it to further diagnose the problem, or maybe test the MAF?
Any thoughts or suggestions welcome. :y

Some Live Data readings might help :-\ :-\

Most critical failures on DTIs are dirty inlets. Clean it all up, clear out the codes, see what returns, then you know what you are dealing with.

Take it up to 4 - 4.5K and see if any further codes pop up.

It'll be more than your hands if your doing the inlet manifold ;D
