Title: Maybe looking at an Omega CDT
Post by: stonesfan on 28 February 2013, 17:45:14
Hi

Fancy a bargain comfy cruiser which will provide a reasonable degree of economy. Have little knowledge of the Omega or its reputation, but I know its extremely comfortable and well specced if you go for the CD+ models. Am presuming parts and service aren't totally unreasonable? Reliability and any known issues?

Are there also any reputable tuning chips for the 2.2 engine, as 115bhp does seem a little low for a big old car.

Cheers.

2.2 petrol is 140bhp when it left the factory.

No such model as CDT, CDX or Elite are the better equipped models, with Elite being the daddy.

Its been mentioned before but with diesels its all about the torque, 2.2 (4 pot) DTi makes more torque than the older 2.5 BMW TD 6 pot!

Although mine is playing up a bit at the moment,  i still love it to bits.   :) not very smooth at the moment,  I suspect because of a vacuum problem, but plenty of power.
