Title: "54" Vectra 3.2 Elite on AutoTrader...
Post by: OmegaAnglesey on 02 March 2013, 03:33:18
Been keeping an eye on this one on eBay and AutoTrader, it's a wonder it hasn't sold. But just look at it it's ugly inside and out  :-\ a real shame but I couldn't do with one of these even if its the 3.2 Elite, and I think I'm correct in thinking the Omega 3.2 Elite has more toys overall over the Veccy C 3.2 Elite.. I would have thought the Vectra might have a few new toys maybe auto dipping headlights etc ?

Anyways here's the link...

Only 3.2 manuals are plod ::), although a touch smaller than an Omega, boot is about the same size. Early one had the option of electric front seats, and heated rear seats (fronts already heated) :y

Quite underated, but as you can see, excellent value :y

Manual conversion easy enough, F28 six speed should bolt straight on :y

Also, to update the front end, it's all nuts and bolts.

seems like its done to low a milage to have been a taxi and I doubt a 3.2 Petrol would be cost affective for a taxi.

er, not true. I know of two manual 3.2 Elites. This is a saloon which will also driv the price down - but it does seem too cheap though.

My bad, just dug out a review of the GSI, most are autos, the manuals being relatively rare :y We run a saloon and a hatch, (amongst other things), side by side, there's very little that the saloon can't do in comparison :-\ if anything the saloon is the better car as it's more rigid and is noticably quieter on the road :y

The price boils down to the engine, the fact it's a saloon and it's not the best colour for these :-\ It also demonstrates just how underestimated these cars are in the wider world :-\
